WHY SCI?
Southern Careers Institute is a Texas technical school that is family-owned and
operated. The family is still actively involved in the daily operations of each
campus of the Southern Careers Institute chain. For nearly 50 years, we have provided
Central and South Texas students with unbelievable careers. We care about each student

programs, business accounting specialist programs, or any other. As a SCI student,

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Southern Careers Institute is to instruct students to such competency
levels that they are qualified for employment and become gainfully employed in their
chosen profession.
As a Texas technical school, SCI’s primary commitment is to develop each student’s
potential to the utmost by an intensive and comprehensive program. It is committed
to maintaining a highly qualified teaching and supervisory staff who strive to meet
the academic needs of each student. Our goal is to stimulate, motivate, and educate
our students so that, they will be qualified to pursue a productive career upon
graduation.
