Southern Careers Institute is the career training school to get the skills you need to begin your career as a pharmacy technician.
We offer a pharmacy technician program to help our graduates get jobs in environments such as retail/hospital pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, nursing homes, the military, U.S. government agencies, and/or other pharmacy related environments.
With advances in medical technology, pharmacy technicians assume an increasing important role in pharmacy operations.
At SCI, you will learn the skills needed to get into this career field. Students enrolled in the pharmacy technician program are taught keyboarding skills, computer applications, office procedures, business communication skills, job readiness techniques, personal development skills, basic pharmacology skills, and pharmacy operations and procedures.
The mission of SCI’s pharmacy technician program is to prepare the graduate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities essential for performing the duties that are required in a pharmacy environment.
*All pharmacy technician applicants will be required to pass a criminal background check, which will include fingerprints, and may be subject to a drug test as a condition of employment. No applicant with a felony record will be accepted into the pharmacy technician program at SCI.
