Medical Billing & Coding Specialist

We offer a medical billing and coding specialist program that will prepare you for a career working in an environment such as doctor’s offices, hospitals, emergency care offices, clinics, and other medical offices/facilities.

At SCI, you will learn the skills needed to get started in this career field. Students enrolled in the medical billing and coding specialist program are taught keyboarding skills, medical insurance billing, medical codes, computer applications, office procedures, business communication skills, job readiness techniques, medical front office and back office duties, and personal development skills.

The mission of SCI’s medical billing and coding specialist program is to prepare the graduate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities essential for performing the duties that are required in a medical office/facility working with insurance billing, coding, and/or medical records, and to obtain and maintain a position in this career field.

As a medical billing and coding specialist, you will work to bridge the gap between doctors, insurance companies, and the patients.
