Military Assistance
Military personnel and dependents looking to learn additional, valuable skill sets for their current military position, or get started in a new occupation, will find the career training programs at Southern Careers Institute a rewarding investment. Attend one of SCI's Texas career schools to open the doors to an exciting career in fields like administration, pharmaceuticals, accounting, and more. The career training programs are tailored to meet the job requirements of specific careers.

Southern Careers Institute understands that military personnel have spent years serving their country, and we are ready to serve them. The fast, to-the-point, and thorough education at Southern Careers Institute ensures that veterans' transition to their ideal place in the work force swiftly and smoothly. Southern Careers Institute's military graduates praise the vocational programs for teaching the skill sets necessary, without all of the general education courses. Your ideal career is only one career training program away at Southern Careers Institute.

Financial aid officers at SCI are available to help with the military financial aid programs, which the campuses qualify for. Paperwork from the Department of Veterans Affairs can be exhausting, which is why SCI is more than willing to help military students every step of the way.

We provide assistance with the following paperwork:

  • Montgomery GI Bill (chapter 30)
  • Vocational Rehabilitation Program (chapter 31)
  • Post-Vietnam Era Veterans' Educational Assistance Program (chapter 32)
  • Dependent Education Assistance Program (chapter 36)
  • Selective Reserve Option of MGIB (chapter 1606)

Military financial aid may cover the costs of obtaining training in the medical assistant program, pharmacy technician program, business accounting specialist program, medical billing and coding program and more! Financial aid officers at all Southern Careers Institute campuses will answer military personnel and dependents' questions on how to best apply their military benefits to their selected program.

Military students looking to jump-start a new and exciting career should visit the admissions requirements page to get started. Military students must meet the competency requirements of other students for entry. Veterans, reserve, active duty, and military family members can take control of their future at Southern Careers Institute today.

I am in the US Army Reserves. Before attending SCI, I was deployed overseas for Operation Iraqi Freedom. When I got back to the states, I knew I had to make a better future for my children. SCI has short programs, and I was able to use my veteran’s benefits. The instructors have emailed me my work when I was absent, which helped me out a lot. If you are looking for a brighter future, GO FOR IT!
